"Contrôle Continu" and "Contrôle Final" Students: Last Exam


Your second main exam which will also be the "contrôle final" for the students who are not in "contrôle continu" will take place on May 26th. For the students in "contrôle continu", this exam will account for 40% of the "contrôle continu" semester grade. 

This exam willl cover everything done during the second semester: 
  • Grammar in translation (from French to English and vice-versa): 
  • Units / Chapters 9 to16 included
  • Units / Chapters 38, 39, 40 and 41 ("if" / "wish" structures)
  • Vocabulary: from all the audio reports (second semester)
  • Listening Comprehension: all the audio reports (second semester)
REMINDERS: 
  • THERE WILL BE NO CATCH-UP SESSION WHATSOEVER EVEN IF YOU HAVE A VALID AND SINCERE JUSTIFICATION. IN CASE YOU MISS THIS EXAM, YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE CATCH-UP SESSION IN SEPTEMBER ("session de rattrapage de septembre"). 
  • You are strictly forbidden to switch groups, I will remove up to 10 points if you switch groups without my explicit and prior agreement for which you will have to provide me with a genuine and sincere justification.

  2. Check the vocabulary and start learning it.
  3. Gram: ex 3 from Units 38/39/40/41 + translate the sentences.

First Main Exam: March 31, 2011 / Program of Revisions


Dear students, 

Your first main exam will take place next week and will account for 30% of your "contrôle continu" semester grade.  

1/ You are strictly forbidden to switch groups, I will remove up to 10 points if you switch groups without my explicit and prior agreement for which you will have to provide me with a genuine and sincere justification. 

2/ Program of revisions:
a) Gram: from Unit 8 to 12 included (among others, you will have to translate sentences  in French and in English using specific grammar structures)
b) Audio reports: listening comprehension + vocabulary (you will hear extracts TWICE only and there will be questions on these extracts)
- The Danger of Desertification
- Smokers and Lung Cancer

Students in "Contrôle Continu": First Main: March 31 / Contrôle Final (May 26th)

Dear students, 

As I said yesterday, the first main exam for the students in "contrôle continu" will take place on March 31st and will cover everything done during the second semester until next week included (March 17). This exam will count for 30% of your "contrôle continu" semester grade.

For the students in "contrôle continu", there will be two short vocab tests and each test will count for 15% of the "contrôle continu" semester grade. I will let you know at least two weeks in advance.
